Richard L. Griffith, M.D., Ph.D., was born in Melrose, Massachusetts.
He attended the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
After graduation, he became a research associate for the National Cancer Institute, located in Frederick, Maryland.
Dr. Griffith later earned his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina, in Charleston, South Carolina.
He next completed the Internal Medicine Residency Program at the University of Virginia.
Dr. Griffith also completed a fellowship for Allergy/Immunology at the National Institutes of Health, NIAID, in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Griffith is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, and the Cobb County Medical Society. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Griffith is married and resides in Marietta, Georgia.
